Regional Education Rounds – Oncologic Emergencies Treated with Radiotherapy

Objectives: By the end of the program, participants will be able to: - Recognize cases requiring emergent radiotherapy - Review management of patients requiring emergent radiotherapy - Review acute and late side effects of radiotherapy. Program Description: The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC), in collaboration with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM), provides monthly Regional Education Rounds(RER). In addition RCCR supports regional staff through hands on education and sim learning experiences. NEON outreach nurse provides neurosurgical education and support to the regional hospitals.
