The Northern Cancer Fund Partners with Screw Cancer™
by Madison Cox
Purchasing a Screw Cancer™ screwdriver supports education, treatment, and patient support
Starting today, you can screw cancer and give hope in your community by purchasing the Screw Cancer™ screwdriver in support of the Northern Cancer Fund. The Screw Cancer™ campaign is partnering with the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation, as well as Prostate Cancer Canada, Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation (Hamilton, ON), the Northern Cancer Foundation (Sudbury, ON), and the Grand River Hospital Foundation (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) to raise funds for early diagnosis, technology advancements and cancer support groups at the community level. The campaign is designed to give you, the donor, the power to choose which local cancer support organization your donation will support when you purchase a screwdriver to #screwcancer.
“We are all affected by cancer in some form,” says Grappleworks™ Founding Partner, Jeff MacIntyre. “When you purchase the Screw Cancer™ screwdriver, you can be confident your funds are directly impacting the local community where you live: your friends, family members, and sometimes, even yourself.”
Screw Cancer™ is a cause-innovation campaign where great causes and great people meet to tackle the toughest challenges communities face. Each participating organization will have a dedicated partner page on the www.screwcancer.today website for donors to place their order directly in support of their preferred organization.
The Screw Cancer™ campaign is the means by which every household in the community can participate in bringing exceptional care to cancer patients in their community. The product is high quality and expertly made. The Screw Cancer™ screwdriver adds value to Canadian households while enabling the purchaser to make a difference in their community while enabling the purchaser to make a difference in their community.
“We are very fortunate that our community already gives so generously when it comes to supporting cancer care,” says Heather Vita, Director of Marketing and Communications for the Thunder Bay Regional Health Foundation. “The beauty of the Screw Cancer™ campaign is in its simplicity; buy a screwdriver and choose to support local cancer care through the Northern Cancer Fund. It’s a national campaign with community-level benefits that directly impact our patients and their families.”
The Screw Cancer™ campaign is committed to working with hospital foundations and other organizations to maximize their fundraising efforts in order to make a difference to those needing cancer care. Support the Northern Cancer Fund today and join our efforts to screw cancer and give hope at www.screwcancer.today/pages/ncfund-tb.
