Caring for people may involve making ethical decisions. The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre has support available for consultation for specific ethical decisions, by invitation from our patients or their substitute decision maker and their families or any one of the interprofessional care team members.
Ethics Consultations will:
- Give people involved, input and the knowledge that their opinion is respected.
- Examine all options.
- Provide for a more considerate decision.
- Respect the patient, their family and healthcare professionals and organizational values.
