Our vision here at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre is ‘Healthy Together’. Protecting the health and safety of our staff, professional staff, patients, and the community during the COVID-19 pandemic is our top priority. Together we are all accountable to ask one another: “Are you equiPPEd?” That means supporting your colleagues, wearing a mask upon entering the Hospital, properly donning and doffing your personal protective equipment (PPE) when caring for patients and practicing hand hygiene.

To all of our Hospital staff…we want to hear from you! Share your stories about how you support your colleagues and make safety a priority. Follow or like us on social media, and use #AreYouEquiPPEd on your posts.

Overview of the Campaign:

  • “COVID-19 fatigue” and “Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) fatigue” are becoming increasingly relevant topics of discussion
  • PPE is the foundation to not only our protection but, the protection of patients, families, and colleagues.
  • This campaign has been created on the notion that health care professionals have been well-appointed with education on PPE protocols.
  • This campaign will enhance health care professionals’ knowledge, awareness, and bridge any identified gaps.
  • The question “Are you equipped?” accentuates the prevalence of safety needed with every interaction.
  • We all must partner together and be accountable to ask one another “Are you equipped?”
