The average number of patients receiving ultrasound therapy in the Physiotherapy Department has doubled with the addition of a new ultrasound machine, thanks to Volunteer Association/Health Sciences Foundation Family CARE grant. Ultrasound therapy is given to patients before an operation to improve surgical outcomes, and after an operation to reduce scarring, improve mobility and reduce pain.
Patient Billing and Cashier Services, including parking passes and patient valuables lock up, are available at the Cashier Office, located on Level 2 beside Admitting, near the Main Entrance.
Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Outside of office hours, please see Admitting for limited cashier services. Patients may also pay invoices using online banking or at their bank. For further information, please call 684-6611.
All uninsured procedures must be prepaid. Deposits on preferred accommodations not covered by insurance are required. All account balances not covered by OHIP or your insurance provider are to be paid upon discharge. You may pay all outstanding accounts by cash, cheque, credit card, or Interac. If you know that you will be discharged outside of office hours, please arrange to settle your account in advance.
Please bring your Ontario Health Card and any other health insurance information.
Billing services, assistance in verifying insurance coverage and/or acquiring preferred accommodations are also available from our Billing staff located in the Emergency Department. Hours of service are 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. weekdays and 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. weekends, except holidays. For assistance, please call extension 6072 or 684-6617.
