Course Description
This presentation will review the basic anatomical and physiological underpinnings of the behavioural dysregulation often seen after stroke, traumatic brain injuries and other pathologies. The specific types of behavioural problems and their management will be reviewed.
Meet the Presenter
Dr. Snaiderman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. He is the director of the Neuropsychiatry Clinic at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, Neuro-rehabilitation Program where he has worked for the past 21 years. He is an instructor in the undergraduate program at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, and resident and fellowship supervisor in the Consultation Liaison program at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto. His expertise is in the cognitive, emotional and behavioural effects of neurological problems such as multiple sclerosis, stroke, severe traumatic brain injury and seizure disorders
