Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre Hosts Second Annual Open Doors Career Showcase

Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC) is excited to welcome the public to its second annual Open Doors Career Showcase on Wednesday, October 7, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The event will be held in the Hospital’s Cafeteria at 980 Oliver Road.

This interactive, in-person event offers a unique opportunity to discover the wide variety of career paths available across all departments and professions at TBRHSC. Attendees can engage directly with health care professionals, take guided tours of Hospital departments, and connect with representatives from local educational institutions.

Whether you’re a high school student considering post-secondary options, a college or university student exploring career pathways, a working professional looking for a change, or someone without formal education seeking direction, this event is for you. This year, the event has expanded to feature over 60 departments and professionals, along with a virtual reality simulation.

“Building on the success of our inaugural Open Doors Career Showcase and the enthusiastic feedback from last year’s attendees, we are excited to host our second annual event. This year’s showcase will be even bigger, with more careers represented and more opportunities to explore the wide range of exciting and rewarding roles available in health care,” says Dr. Rhonda Crocker Ellacott, President and CEO, TBRHSC, and CEO, Thunder Bay Regional Health Research Institute. “The Showcase will allow for a chance to discover career options that many never have considered before. Whether their interests are clinical, technical, or administrative, there is a place for them in health care. We invite the community to join us and experience firsthand how they can work, grow, and thrive with us.”

Attendance is free, and complimentary parking is available for all attendees in Lot G, near the East/Cafeteria entrance. Those interested in learning more about the event or a career in health care are asked to contact the Human Resources team at TBRHSC by email at TBRHSC.HumanResources@tbh.net or by calling (807) 684-6227.
