How to Manage Your Cancer Symptoms – Guides for Patients were developed by Cancer Care Ontario to help you to manage your cancer-related symptoms. The guides focus on individual topic areas including: pain, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, constipation, shortness of breath, mouth problems, depression and anxiety.

  • The easy-to-read guides have information about what causes symptoms, how to manage them, and where to get helpful resources
  • Your health care providers may also use the guides to help teach you to manage your symptoms and learn strategies that you can safely use at home
  • If you would like a printed version, copies of the guides can be found in our Waiting Areas or ask a member of your care team
