New e-AEROBICS modules for physiotherapists working with stroke survivors are now available at https://www.strokengine.ca/ in the e-Learning section.

The modules are based on the document “Aerobic Exercise Recommendations to Optimize Best Practices in Care after Stroke” available at http://strokebestpractices.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/AEROBICS-FINAL-July-2013.pdf

The e-Aerobics learning package consists of 4 modules:

  1. Self-Management and Behaviour Change
  2. Exercise Physiology
  3. Exercise Screening
  4. Exercise Prescription Post Stroke

The modules are free to use and a certificate is available on completion. Many physiotherapists, including some from Northwestern Ontario, participated in the original study with the Champlain Regional Stroke Network to help refine the modules.
