About The Summit

Friday will have the opening ceremonies for the Northwestern Ontario Cardiology Summit, which will provide an unrivaled opportunity to connect with colleagues and members of the community. The ambience will allow for conversation with a symposium and dinner. To complete the night, a heroic presentation will be given by Bronwyn Huffman on her one year anniversary of her heart transplant that will focus on her struggles with leukemia and heart failure. Her presentation will be augmented with Dr. Jennifer Conway providing information regarding the treatments needed and the technology within cardiology.

Saturday's Conference will be an invitation for healthcare providers to gain insight from leaders within cardiology from Northwestern Ontario and throughout Canada. As cardiology continues to expand with differing interventions from medical and surgical procedures, our conference will focus on &lquot;The Heart Team&rquot;. These presentations will have various healthcare providers speak on the interventions that would be tailored to each individual. Come to the congress and become informed on cutting-edge education to help improve patient care for patients throughout the communities of Northern Ontario. These best practices and resources will help further advance the care and treatment provided to patients within our region.
