DESCRIPTION:Central East Stroke Network is pleased to offer a webinar on \nWhat is community reintegration and how can we better promote it? \nSpeaker: Dr. Mary Egan \nThis webinar will be of interest to healthcare professionals across the care continuum who are working with individuals post-stroke. \nObjectives: \n\nreflect on individual and program concepts of community reintegration\nintroduce the concept of Personal Projects* and the usefulness of this concept in stroke rehabilitation\nrefine an understanding of the following ingredients of return to valued activities: social connectedness\, autonomy\, hope and adaptation\n\n* Personal Projects: can be used to study the influence of activity on personality and health\, we have been using it to explore how people return to valued activities and to help people explore which valued activities they most wish to return to. \nRegister Now \nMary Egan is a professor in the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Ottawa. Her research focuses on the process of returning to valued occupations\, both in the presence and the absence of therapy.
