Inpatient Rehabilitation

In Northwestern Ontario, the inpatient stroke rehabilitation unit is located on third floor, north wing (3N) as part of the Special Rehabilitation Service at Joseph’s Hospital, Thunder Bay.

Definition

Stroke Rehabilitation Unit
A geographical unit with identifiable co-located rehabilitation beds that are occupied by stroke patients 75% of the time, and has a dedicated interprofessional team with expertise in stroke care including at a minimum, nursing, PT, OT and SLP.
