The average number of patients receiving ultrasound therapy in the Physiotherapy Department has doubled with the addition of a new ultrasound machine, thanks to Volunteer Association/Health Sciences Foundation Family CARE grant. Ultrasound therapy is given to patients before an operation to improve surgical outcomes, and after an operation to reduce scarring, improve mobility and reduce pain.
At Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, we are committed to providing patient services in French as well as English. Please let a member of your healthcare team know if you would like service in French.
If you require an interpreter in any other language, please ask a staff member and we will do our best to accommodate.
To book an ASL/LSQ interpreter contact Ontario Interpreting Services.
