Update on Best Practices in Acute Stroke Care

One day Acute Stroke Best Practices Workshop. The focus is on acute stroke and integrating stroke best practices, with the goal of optimizing care. The program includes: a variety of topics pertaining to acute stroke, including updates on Code Stroke and available interventions and an opportunity to participate in a Mock Code Stroke.
Coffee and a light breakfast will be provided on arrival. Refreshments and lunch will also be provided. Presenters
Interprofessional members of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC) stroke team, including Dr. Hassan (TBRHSC Medical Lead- Neurology & Stroke).
Nurses who provide direct care to people with stroke in the acute care setting. Allied health care providers with this focus; as well as nurses working in other settings, with an interest in stroke care in the acute care setting are invited to attend.

This workshop is sponsored by the Northwestern Ontario Regional Stroke Network (NWORSN) and is offered at no charge. Register early as space is limited. Registration Deadline is Thursday, May 30, 2019
